Closing Sale: The Top 3 Victory Motorcycles Feb 10, 2017 by Cedric (Driver Weekly)
Polaris has announced that Victory Motorcycles is closing their doors and, while we’re disappointed that they’re shutting down, there should be an opportunity for riders to find sweet deals on top models. Their vehicles consistently get rave reviews, and we’re expecting closing sales on surplus inventory at dealers across the country. (Polaris has also pledged that all bikes will continue to receive warranty service and parts for the next ten years.) Find out which Victory motorcycles are the top options in their respective categories.
Top Cruiser: Victory Vegas
Out of the Victory cruisers, the Vegas stands out from the other models in the lineup. It has new wheels, including a 21-inch front wheel that gets attention and carves the road. It is paired with a 17-inch rear wheel, both of which have Dunlop tires and a size difference that makes the bike almost feel like a chopper. The stylish Sunset Red Vegas is painted in a monochromatic style resembling modern muscle car with a brilliant frame and streamlined headlights. The red frame of the Vegas is complemented by the black engine components, exhaust pipes, and frame members, plus little touches of chrome throughout. With the seat 25 inches above the pavement, you are positioned in the perfect spot for comfort. Store your items on the Solo luggage rack or just leave everything behind and enjoy what this bike can do on the road: it has a six-speed overdrive transmission and a 1,731cc engine that gives you 113 pound-feet for torque at 4,000 rpm and 97 horsepower at 5,000 rpm.
Top Tourer: Vision
Unless you can’t see a good thing when it’s right in front of you, searching for a touring bike will lead you to straight to the Vision. There are two heated seats for long-distance comfort. In fact, even the handgrips are heated, so you don’t have to rely on your gloves on cold rides. This motorcycle is great for bringing everything you need with you. After all, it has 29 gallons of storage room between the saddlebags and trunk. The Adjustable Power Windscreen can lower and rise by touching a button, protecting you from the wind when you hit highway speeds. The Vision also features linked rear and front ABS braking to keep you stable and safe in any conditions. The 1,731cc engine gives you more than enough power for thrills and endurance.
Top Bagger: Cross Country
Finally, those in search of a bagger will want to consider the Victory Cross Country. The lockable hard saddlebags help this model stand out from the crowd with their 21.3-gallon capacity and weatherproof sealing that means you don’t have to worry about your cargo getting wet. The Cross Country runs on a 106 V-Twin Freedom with four valves in every cylinder and overhead cams to maximize performance. Thanks to the extra-rigid inverted fork in front, this motorcycle reacts responsively to every input. Every Cross Country comes standard with Bluetooth to keep you connected, along with cruise control and ABS. Any one of these top bikes would be a great sale for a motorcycle rider looking for one last Victory.
