1967 GM C/K Series

Handsome, durable, and more refined than previous generations of pickup trucks from General Motors, the 1967 GM C/K series (sold as GMC and Chevrolet models) was the first truck that appealed directly to car drivers. That’s not to say that these weren’t working trucks, but that they also offered more comfortable cabins and suspensions that suited a daily driver. The second generation of the C/K series utilized the improved drop-center ladder frame and independent front suspension introduced in the first generation in 1960. The second generation Chevrolets offered coil-spring rear suspension for an even smoother car-like ride and modernized styling nicknamed the “Action Line.” Also sold with both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models, the C/K was a vast improvement on older trucks with smooth sheet metal and a smoother ride.
